Todd Endo, Treasurer, and Programs Committee
(FY 1996 - 2011) Todd Endo is the founder and director of the Urban Alternative, a community-based non-profit organization that creates public-private partnerships with a focus on children and families in Arlington. Previously, he served as Director of Research, Evaluation, and Policy Analysis for Fairfax County Public Schools and Assistant to the Superintendent of Arlington Public Schools. He has also worked as Assistant to the Director of the National Institute for Education in the Carter Administration, co-founder of the Institute for Educational Transformation, educational director for a national group of street academies for high school dropouts, and advisor to the Minister of Education in Egypt. Todd holds an Ed.D. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He has a wife and two married children, all of whom are professionally involved in some form of educational work with youth. The longest job he’s had is coaching youth soccer (16 years) and he enjoys backpacking, volleyball, running, and reading.
