Gail Meighan, Events/Fundraising Committee 
(FY 2009 – 2012) Gail Meighan taught high school English at George Mason High School in nearby Falls Church for ten years, after living abroad for more than 20 years as a spouse and mother through the US Foreign Service. With the new century here, she and her husband decided to work part-time in the area, allowing them to maintain professional interests and also continue their many travels to Europe and Africa, as well as to Florida and Rehoboth Beach. Most importantly, much of their free time has been joyfully spent with their five grandchildren, aged three to seven. Gail is an active volunteer with the Arena Stage and with the Folger Shakespeare Theatre and is a busy participant with the ACCA food warehouse, both as a food captain and a food deliverer. Additionally, she is happily involved with parish and outreach activities at Queen of Peace Church in Arlington. This is Gail’s second (non-consecutive) term on GBLC’s board.
